Matterhorn Capital Partners makes debt and structured equity investments in commercial/multifamily real estate, middle and lower-middle market companies.
We are a member of the Matterhorn Group of Companies. Founded in 2020, Matterhorn Capital Partners (MCP) offices are located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, along with MCP’s team of investment professionals who have extensive and diverse experience in corporate and real estate credit and private equity.

TREY OTT
Managing Partner,

Trey Ott founded Matterhorn Capital Partners and is responsible for the firm's overall direction and strategy. As Managing Partner, he retains primary oversight for originating and structuring many of Matterhorn's investments. With over 20 years of investment experience, Trey most recently held the position of Managing Director of Susquehanna Structured Capital, a strategy he founded at Susquehanna International Group (SIG) during his 15-year tenure with the firm. Prior to SIG, Trey held roles as the Head of US Corporate Research at Nomura Securities, and as a Senior High Yield Research Analyst at both Conseco Capital Management and Delaware Investments (now Macquarie Investment Management). Trey received an M.B.A. from Cornell University's Johnson School of Business, and a BS in Finance and Economics from Indiana University of PA. Trey also serves on the Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital's foundation board and is a member of the investment committee for Main Line Health.

RYAN McLAUGHLIN, CFA, CPA, CFP®, CAIA
Partner, Chief Operating Officer
  

Ryan McLaughlin is the Chief Operating Officer of Matterhorn Capital Partners. In this role he leads the operations, compliance, and client service efforts for the firm. With over 15 years of investment experience, Ryan was most recently a Partner with Permit Capital Advisors (PCA) where he served as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Strategist, as well as assisted in the administration of internally created private funds and special purpose vehicles. Prior to PCA, Ryan held roles as the Director of Research at McCabe Capital Managers (now Drexel Morgan Capital Advisors), as a Financial Analyst at myCIO Wealth Partners, and as a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young. Ryan received his Bachelors of Science in both Accountancy and Business Administration (Management Information Systems) as well as his Master of Taxation from Villanova University (cum laude).  Ryan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.  He is a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Philadelphia, Alternative Investment Management Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Karl Wagner is the Chief Investment Officer at Matterhorn Capital Partners and is responsible for real estate investments. His role includes sourcing, structuring and managing Matterhorn’s real estate lending business. Karl has over 20 years of experience investing in real estate acquisition, development and management.  Prior to joining Matterhorn, Karl was the Chief Investment Officer and Principal at The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG) and Corten Real Estate Partners (Corten), BPG’s private equity fund. During his 21-year career at BPG, Karl sourced acquisitions and preferred equity investments in multi-family, commercial, mixed use and parking assets. In addition, Karl managed all of BPG’s commercial financing transactions. In total, Karl has sourced or managed over $2 billion in transactions during his career. Karl received a BS in accounting from the University of Delaware.

Mike Puskar is a Vice President at Matterhorn Capital Partners where he is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities and monitoring Matterhorn’s existing portfolio of investments. Prior to joining Matterhorn, Mike was a Vice President at StoneMor Partners L.P. where he was responsible for all corporate finance and M&A activity. Mike also worked as an Investment Banking Associate at FBR Capital Markets & Co. where he focused on executing M&A and capital markets transactions across a wide range of industries. Mike received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Cum Laude, from The Catholic University of America.

Dana Nichols is the Director of Operations at Matterhorn Capital Partners where she is responsible for the firm’s Human Resources and office management. Her experience ranges from marketing and community engagement to administrative duties. Dana has held roles in educational settings, as well as, in the nonprofit sector. As a former secondary mathematics teacher, Dana brings her attention to detail and organizational skills to her role. Dana received her B.S. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in mathematics education.

Cole Wright is an Analyst at Matterhorn Capital Partners where he is responsible for market and industry research and generating new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Matterhorn, Cole was a Business Development Analyst at ProPharma Group, where he was responsible for reporting on key performance metrics related to company sales and opportunity pipeline. Cole also worked on the Business Development team at Boathouse Capital, where he focused on industry research and evaluating prospective investment opportunities. Cole received a B.A. in Economics, Summa Cum Laude, from Trinity College and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Ian Gordon is an Analyst at Matterhorn Capital Partners where he is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities and monitoring Matterhorn’s existing portfolio of investments. Prior to joining Matterhorn, Ian was an Associate at Chatham Financial where he specialized in the valuation of commercial real estate debt and other complex valuation assignments. Ian graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University with degrees in Finance and Real Estate and a minor in Applied Statistics. Ian holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Philadelphia.
